Our senses help us read the world
what’s safe and what is not,
And if you focus in on one
You can learn a lot!

Getting Started:

This is a fun and easy way to learn about the world around you and what your body can tell you if you listen, look, feel, smell and touch. Spend time finding your Spidey Senses:

  • Close your eyes and just think about your ears.
  • Cover your ears and think about your eyes.
  • Touch things with your fingers.
  • Close your eyes, cover your ears and breath in through your nose.
  • When you think about just one sense, you notice it more.

Now play guessing games:

  • Can you guess what something is by touching it, with your eyes closed?
  • Can you guess what something is by hearing it being banged or tapped while your eyes closed?
  • Can you guess what something is by tasting it, with your eyes closed?

What other games and tests can you think about that will help you find out more about your senses?

Some Suggestions:

If it’s a nice day try it outside. Are there flowers to smell, trees and stones to feel, birds and insects to listen to?
