How well do you know your neighbourhood?
How well do you know your street?
Make a note of the things you discover
And the interesting people you meet.
Getting Started:
Before you leave the house have a bit of a chat about what you’re going to be looking out for.
What do you expect to see?
Who do you expect to meet?
Be ready to make notes so when you’re finished you can look back and see what surprised you.
Make a list of what you might see?
A Dog, a cat, a red car, a blue door, a letter box, a push chair, a bus ….. Or set yourself challenges like “How Many Different Coloured Cars Did You See?” or “What’s The Highest House Number You Saw?”
Tips!
This is a simple and entertaining way to help you get to know your neighbourhood. By looking at the people, buildings, animals, plants, trees, cars – and whatever else – that you see, you’ll learn a lot!
